The route takes you through an older neighborhood in upper Wahiawa, through the Wahiawa Botanical Garden & the Leilehua High School (LHS) campus. The 27-acre Wahiawa Botanical Garden includes native Hawaiian plants, palms, heliconia, gingers & ferns. Free admission. The Kunia Orchid Show is being held in the LHS gym on the day of the event. It showcases the islands largest selection of honohono orchids, cattleya, phalaenopsis & dendrobiums. Suggested donation for the show $2.

Driving to the start

Leilehua High School - Wahiawa Community School Building located at 1515 California Avenue. Please park at the upper end of the parking lot & walk to Wahiawa Community School. It is the 1st building on right as you enter parking lot. From Honolulu: Take H-1 West to H-2 (north Shore/Wahiawa), exit Wahiawa onto Kamehameha Hwy to California Ave. Continue past the Wahiawa District Park, to Leilehua High School located at 1515 California Ave. Turn right into parking lot.
