Event comments

The walk starts at S. Beach park and continues through some of the older Beach neighborhoods on the way to the Preserve. After walking the trails in the Preserve, the 10kers will continue to the beach before returning to the Park. The 7kers will return to the start point. The Preserve offers a canopy of old-growth live oaks, magnolia and water oak trees along with upland forest, saltwater marshes and panoramic views of the creeks that feed the Intracoastal Waterway.

Driving to the start

2514 S. Beach Pkwy, Jacksonville Beach, Fl. 32250.Take J Turner Butler Blvd. (202) East, exiting at Marsh Landing Pkwy (1st exit after Intracoastal Bridge). At stoplight, turn left and continue for approx. 1 mile to light at Osceola Ave. and turn left and left again 1st street. Continue straight ahead to picnic pavilion between the skateboark park and the Community Center. Look for the red shirts.
