Event comments
The Dahlgren Railroad Heritage Trail is an old railroad line that has been converted to a multiuse trail which winds through 240 acres of preserved land, mostly woodland. The trail is clear, and most of the historic railroad ties are removed. The natural surface is even and good for walking, hiking, biking, and running. The first four miles are particularly well used and maintained, and are suitable for strollers and children. There is little elevation change on this trail. (There are no restrooms.)This trail is out and back. You can walk as far as you'd like - just keep track of your distance.
