The BHVA offers an incentive patch each year to anyone who completes any 10 of the walks our club sponsors and returns a completed incentive card. We enough walks open during your visit to earn it.

In 2026 Crazy Horse Memorial is celebrating it's 40th Anniversary of hosting the Crazy Horse Volksmarch in conjunction with the Black Hills Vollkssport Association. This is the 40th Spring walk and the 14th Fall walk. This year we are doing a joint celebration with our parent organization, the American Volkssport Association, as it celebrates its 50th Anniversary and the United States of America is celebrating its 250th Anniversary. Please join us on June 6th and help us celebrate! Please remember to leave your pets behind as Crazy Horse will not allow them on the trail. Also please bring 3 cans of food per person in your vehicle for admittance to the Crazy Horse Memorial. The fee for the walk is $4.00 cash per person. The patch this year harkens back to the first Crazy Horse medal in 1985 and sells for an additional $6.00 cash bringing the total to $10 cash for the walk and a patch. Come help us celebrate all of these events and take part in a premiere walking event! Remember that should the Crazy Horse staff have to clear the mountain for weather conditions or any other reason it is done with the safety of all in mind. Unfortunately, BHVA will not be able to issue any refunds.

Event information
Please bring cash for the walk fee ($4.00 per person, $10.00 for the patch and walk). Remember three cans of food for each person in the car for free admission to Crazy Horse Memorial or be prepared to pay a reduced fee for entrance to the Memorial.
