Event information
International Talk Like a Pirate day happens September 19th each year. In 2026, it is on a Saturday, so we had to do the walk again. Come dressed like a pirate with your favorite pirate voice. The route will primarily be on the Salmon Creek Trail and will include a nature trail treasure hunt. We have had fun with this event in the past. Come have a little fun! A GROUP WALK STARTS at 9:30 am. Allow time to register, use restrooms, and be ready to walk at 9:30 am. Restrooms at start, but limited otherwise. Parking is free in this Vancouver Girls Softball Association lot.

Driving to the start
800 NE 117th St, Vancouver, WA; From I-5 NORTHBOUND/SOUTHBOUND take exit 5 (99th St). Northbound turn right/Southbound turn left on 99th St. to first light (HWY 99). Turn left on Hwy 99 going north to 117th St. Turn Left on 117th and go under freeway to second driveway on your right at VGSA Sign. From I-205 NORTHBOUND take exit 36 (134th St) and turn left. Left at 20th Ave (HWY 99) to 117th St. Turn right on 117th and go under freeway to second driveway on your right at the VGSA sign.
