Event comments

The most northerly of the California Missions, San Francisco Solano founded in 1823, is on Spain St, close to the Start Location. Seven flags have flown over Sonoma. The Plaza is part of Sonoma State Historical Park, with much of the downtown designated as a National Registered Landmark Area. Many interesting shops and restaurants around the Plaza. See where Joaquin Murrieta, The Mexican Robin Hood, is believed to have stayed. So much history here!
