Event comments

The Hoosier Hiker 35th Anniversary special event in Shipshewana, Indiana, features a 5-k route and a 6-route, which together offer a total distance of 11-k. The 6-k route takes walkers through the social and retail heart of Shipshewana on the town's sidewalks with little overhead cover, where walkers may marvel at the many murals highlighting the town's historical and cultural significance, as well as checking out all of the finest that this small town has to offer. The 5-k route takes walkers along an outstanding and highly rated Rail -Trail in North Central Indiana, which is best known as the Pumpkinvine Trail. Along this route, which provides habitat for local wildlife, walkers may observe the cultural life and the agrarian ways of the locale and its large Amish settlement.
