Event comments
Come and join the Placer Pacers returning to the beautiful city of Grass Valley. A number of years back the Pacers had a year-round walk in Grass Valley, and we will be returning with a Traditional Walk on November 7, 2026. The event will have both 5K and 10K routes which will take you through the older parts of the city going by a number of historic churches plus tons of beautiful old Victorian homes. After your walk you can enjoy a number of great restaurants in town, including authentic pasties. You may want to tour the Empire Mine State Historic Park and/or the North Star Mining Museum.

Driving to the start
Directions to the Flour Garden Bakery, 109 Neal St. Grass Valley, CA. From Sacramento take I-80 heading towards Auburn. Take exit 119-B - CA 49 towards Grass Valley. Turn left onto Hwy 49. Stay on Hwy 49 north for about 23 miles. Take exit #182A for CA 174. Take the left 2 lanes to stay on the ramp to S. Auburn St. Turn left onto S. Auburn St. and go under the overpass. Then turn left onto Neal. Go a short distance, then turn left into the Safeway parking lot. The Flour Garden Bakery is right next to Safeway 95945
