This amazing walk includes the twin-surface rail-to-trail Cynwyd Heritage Trail, a residential area in Bala Cynwyd featuring lovely older stone homes, the tree lined lanes of the historic West Laurel Hill Cemetery with numerous impressive mausoleums, crossing the Schuylkill River via the Pencoyd Bridge, the shops, restaurants, and murals on Main Street Manayunk, crossing the Schuylkill River and I-76 via the impressive multi-arched Manayunk Bridge.

Event information
Restrooms at the start point next to the Bala Cynwyd Park Parking Lot. ***Note in the past the walking route included crossing the Schuylkill River via the "mule bridge"; but access to this "interesting, some would say challenging" bridge from the Bala Cynwyd side of the river has been closed. Instead, the walking route crosses the Schuylkill River to Main St Manayunk via Pencoyd Bridge.

Driving to the start
374 Trevor Lane, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.Travelling east on I-76, take Exit 338 for Belmont Ave. toward Green Lane. Right on Belmont Ave. Go about 1 mile and turn Right on Landrillo Rd. Folllow Llandrillo to Trevor Lane. Right on Trevor Lane to the park entrance on the right.Travelling west on I-76, take Exit 339 for US-1/City Ave. Continue for 0.7 miles and turn Right on Belmont Ave. Continue for another 0.7 miles and turn Left on Llandrillo Rd. Follow Llandrillo Rd. to Trevor Lane. Right on Trevor Lane to the park entrance on the right. There is limited free parking in the park. Additional free parking along the right side of Trevor Lane.
