Event comments
These trails go through downtown Ellicott City and the Trolley Trail in Oella. The 5km and Paved 10km trails are on sidewalks and paved paths. The Banneker Park 10km trail also goes on natural surface (rocks and roots) through Bennjamin Banneker Historic Park. The Combined 12km includes both the Paved trail and the Banneker Park natural surface trail. Use extra caution if trails are wet or icy. Trolley Trail is NOT treated in winter. NOTE: There are Restrooms at the start in lower backside of the Howard County Welcome Center (Restrooms Open 8 am to 10 pm daily) and on the 10km Banneker Park & 12km Combined trails in the Benjamin Banneker Museum (Open 9 am to 5 pm daily). There are numerous restaurants on Main Street Ellicott City.

These trails are not recommended for wheelchairs. Strollers can but have difficulty on 5km and Paved 10km trails. Pets are allowed on trails but must be leashed. Use extra caution if trails are wet or icy. Trolley Trail is NOT treated in winter.
