Event comments

Frostburg is a historic mining and railroad town turned University town. Perched on top of a mountain ridge in beautiful western Maryland, scenic vistas abound.

Rating: 2B, Distance: 10km

Event information

The walk passes war memorials, a functioning railroad turntable and train station, historic homes, an old cemetery, Frostburg State University, and interesting shops and restaurants. The trail is rated 2B for one steep down hill and the long but not so steep return back up hill. There are several less significant hills along the way. Trail is on city streets and sidewalks and is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.
