Event information

Walks can be completed during daylight hours. Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years Day. One 6k starts at Visitor Center. It explores the West Woods and Bloody Lane. You must drive about 2 mile from the Visitors Center to reach the start point above Burnside Bridge for the second 6k. This trail follows the First Attack and Snavely Ford trails. Trails are on Paved roads and grassy paths. Visitor Center is currently under construction. You will need to park on side of Rt 65 or on roadside on Smoketown Road to do the first 5K

116 East Main St. Sharpsburg, MD 21782. Direction to walk start point at the Visitors Center. As you leave my home turn right, at next road turn left (RT. 65), visitors Center is approximately 1 mile on your leftFrom 70E take exit 49 onto US 40 alt toward Braddock Heights and Middletown take left on 40 alt toward Middletown. Go through Middletown, over south mountain to Boonsboro. At approximately 11 miles at traffic light make left onto Route 34. Go approximately 6 miles to Sharpsburg. 116 E Main is a green house with white porch house across from Captain Bender's. If you get to square you have gone too far. Box will be on porch.
