Event comments

The Start Point is near the western entrance to the Walkway Over the Hudson Bridge. The 5K route takes you over and back the Walkway Over the Hudson Pedestrian Bridge. The 10K route takes you over the Walkway Over the Hudson Bridge and continues through downtown Poughkeepsie and through the historic Poughkeepsie Train Station. Then the 10K takes you over the Mid-Hudson Bridge with its Bridge Music Stations (in season) and follows Haviland Rd back to the Start Point at the Hudson Valley Rail Trail Parking Lot. Event information

Start by parking in a lot near the Hudson Valley Rail Trail and Caboose Parking Lot on the west side of the Hudson River. There is a parking fee for the parking lot and the parking spaces along Haviland Rd near the lot. ($5 for 4 hours). Stroll along the "Walkway Over the Hudson Bridge" (the world's tallest & longest elevated pedestrian bridge: 212 ft over River). The longer 10K trail includes a loop through the City of Poughkeepsie that recrosses the Hudson River on Mid-Hudson (FDR) Bridge back to the Start Point. See walking directions for details.
