Don't miss the short movie at the new Visitor's Center. Fort is closed on Christmas and New Year's Day. The trail goes through Fort McHenry, a national monument park, to Baltimore's Inner Harbor and downtown areas.There is no Park fee if walkers simply follow the trail map. Many people may have free entrance to the fort -National Parks “America the Beautiful” pass, active duty military, etc.

Only walkers 12 years of age and younger may walk free, courtesy of the Baltimore Walking Club. It is recommended that walkers carry water. Shade is limited. There is no Park fee if walkers simply follow the trail map. Many people may have free entrance to the fort - National Parks “America the Beautiful” pass, active duty military, etc.DO NOT PARK your vehicle in the lot immediately adjacent to the start point at McDonald's. There's plenty of parking available in the nearby Southside Marketplace lot.
