Event comments
Trail is through downtown Colorado Springs highlighting "Art on the Street" sculptures and murals. The 6K trail passes the US Olympic/Paralympic Committee building and Pioneers Museum (free admission), returning on a portion of Shooks Run. The 11K traverses a portion of natural trail along Fountain Creek, passing the Van Briggle Pottery building (listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings), through Colorado College campus and back on Shooks Run through old established neighborhoods.

Facility Hours Monday - Thursday 5:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., Friday 5:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., Saturday 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Sunday 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. or call YMCA (719) 471-9790 for hours. Trail is through downtown Colorado Springs. The street art is described in a brochure accompanying trail map. Some of the trail is on unpaved path. Many restroom and restaurant opportunities in the downtown area! Elevation 6,035 ft.

Driving to the start box
207 N Nevada, Colorado Springs, CO 80903. Exit I-25 exit 142, Bijou E. Follow Bijou to right as it becomes Kiowa; stay on Kiowa 4 blocks to Weber, turn left; go 1 block to Bijou, turn left; YMCA free parking garage on right. Enter YMCA through alley main entrance. Main desk is immediately inside. Ask for Walk Box!
