Event comments
Although this is an AVA-sanctioned event, it is not an club hosted event. Pool activity is unsupervised by an AVA Club, and participants are swimming at their own risk. This event shall not be advertised or used as part of a festival, challenge, weekend single or multi-day event. Clubs must still seek their own swim event sanctions for these activities. No special programs, except the Centurion Program, are valid. We recommend facilities with staff accredited by the AFO (Aquatic Facility Operators) or Pool and Hot Tub Alliance. Other recommended facilities that may or may not have staff so accredited include the YMCA/YWCA, university, government or community recreation facilities or centers, pool clubs and country clubs. Hotel/motel pools are not acceptable unless they have a lifeguard on duty. Members must have their own memberships or authorization to use the facilities. There cannot be an active AVA club sanctioned swim event at the facility. Only approved and published swim times under lifeguard supervision may be used. Please contact the POC for any questions about the conditions where you wish to use this event.

Event information
To promote the popular sport of swimming, the board chair of the AVA is promoting a national swimming event that can be used to acquire an "IVV EVENT STAMP". This is an OSB (online start box) event where you may register for no more than one event per calendar day to swim 300 meters during a supervised (lifeguard on duty) swim time at an approved local pool/aquatic facility that you have authorization to use. You are responsible for any fees associated with pool use.
