GPS: 39.50261346610725, -115.82261740152883. Walk starts at the county bldg; 701 Lincoln Hwy; Eureka, NV. Parking in lot. Eureka County formed 1873 from Lander County. Named for: Greek expression Eureka, meaning I have found it!, in reference to deposits of silver found in the vicinity. Mining, especially for lead, was the town's economic mainstay.

County building; 701 Lincoln Hwy; Eureka, NV. Parking in lot. GPS: 39.50261346610725, -115.82261740152883. From Treasure Island in Las Vegas (5 hours): I-15 north for 25 miles to exit 64 US Hwy 93. At Crystal Springs turn LEFT on NV-318 for 111 miles. At the "T" turn RIGHT on US-6 22 miles to Ely. Follow the signs to US-50 west for 76 miles. Destination will be on the right. Restrooms not available, please stop on the way.
