Event comments

There are two 5K loops, both go to the Grass Labyrinth. The Interquest Marketplace Ornamental Grass Labyrinth is designed for fun for both young and old. the borders of the path are lined with native and nonnative ornamental grasses. The New Life Church trail takes you into Scheels, a sporting goods store with a 65 ft ferris wheel, bowling alley, a 16,000 gallon saltwater aquarium, a 35 ft tall wildlife display (much like Cabela's) with 200 taxidermy preserved animals, as well as a candy shop. And be sure to find John Elway and have a conversation with him. It is definitely worth a visit. The squirrel path takes you on a dirt path following Squirrel Creek and into the neighborhood, then loops around touching the Pikes Peak Regional Trail before heading back to Great Wolf Lodge. The labyrinth is right next to Cheddars, where you might want to have some delicious food before or after your walk. While parking at the Great Wolf Lodge can be at a premium, there are a bunch of Veteran only spots in the northwest corner of the parking lot, next to the handicap slots.

Driving to the start box

Great Wolf Lodge; 9494 Federal Dr; Colorado Springs, CO 80921. From I-25 take exit 153, Interquest Pkwy. Take the first LEFT on New Allegiance Dr. Turn LEFT onMarket Center Pt at the Drury Inn. Take the 3rd exit from the traffic circle and park in the lot. The box is at themain desk, you may have to stand in line and ask for it at the desk. Please be patient.
