Elevation: 6,263 ft AMSL. Information about the city and county: https://WoodlandWanderers.org/Montana/Butte.html; Most but not all the towns have a gas station and/or grocery store. Some have a cafe and/or coffee shop. Only the biggest (Helena, Billings, Bozeman) have common fast food. Plan ahead for restrooms. We apologize for the amount of UP you will encounter in Butte. Both routes have a 2km steady up, with steep portions.

Event information
There is NO STARTBOX at the start location. For contactless online registration go to our Online Event Registration System (https://woodlandwanderers.org.org/Store/) with a valid email address. For alternate registration send an email to montana@woodlandwanderers.org to request registration (please include your phone number), or text your request with your valid email address to 719-640-6744 and we will email you the snail mail registration forms. Remember that most are really small towns. Plan for bathrooms. Bring your own water. Use sunscreen liberally.

Driving to the start box
The start is located at the City and County Administration Building; 155 W Granite Street; Butte, MT. Free parking on the street for 2 hours 8:30-5:30 Monday-Friday. No time limit at other times. All lots are permit parking. Pay attention so you don't get a ticket. We do not know if there are public restrooms available.
