Enjoy the Bear Mountain State Park Walk. The walk consists of three portions: The State Park itself, the Trailside Museums and Zoo, and The Bear Mountain Bridge spanning the Hudson River.

This is a very flat part of the Appalachian Trail that goes through the small town of Damascus, where many trails meet.

The park is just north of the midpoint of the Appalachian Trail and has the AT Museum, a hostel, and the General Store (ice cream challenge).

There are three walk options: 10K AppalachianTrail, 5K Bolivar Heights, and 5K Lower Town. The ATC Visitor Center is open Thu - Mon, 9 am - 5 pm; Tue & Wed, 10 am - 4 pm.
