Event comments
This walk is the 2nd group walk we have scheduled in Gainesville on 2/1/20. At 9:30 am (register at 9:00 am) we will walk our YRE which takes you through the University of Florida campus. Please visit our website for more info. We recommend that you carry your own drinking water, sunscreen and insect repellant.

Event information
The Northeast Historic District was entered into the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The district is significant for the concentration and evolution of an early residential neighborhood. The 290 historic buildings reflect the architectural styles prevalent in Florida during the 1880's through 1920's and the public green spaces depict the development of Gainesville between these years. The walk also goes through the Southeast Historic District which contains a large number of historic buildings from the same period.
