Event comments

Situated just below Twin Peaks, it is one of the seven San Francisco hills with excellent City views, but only one with outcroppings of red Franciscan chert. Route includes historic Buena Vista Park, Haight Ashbury and Golden Gate Park Panhandle. Golden Gate Park is celebrating it�s 150th anniversary this year. Water and restrooms available along the route, as well as many places to stop, shop, and eat. Dogs permitted on leash. Wheelchairs and strollers are allowed with consideration for steep hills. There will also be an optional 5K.

Parking lot is at the end of Museum Way. There is an optional beginning of the route that will take in dirt path with built-in stairs to peak for great City vistas.
